School and Nursery Workshops
Schools, Nurseries and Pre-Schools
Little City is fast becoming a leading expert in immersive play experiences in schools.
We offer a wonderful, interactive and inclusive learning through play experience for pre-school, reception and Year 1 aged children. Our events, toys and sessions marry with the Early Years Framework and promote wonderful links to careers, 'people who help us' as well as promoting many aspects of the EYFS and Early Learning goals.
The Little City team is made up of ex-teachers and Heads of Early Years: we'd welcome the opportunity to make the event a relevant learning opportunity for your children as well as being lots of fun.
We are fully insured, DBS checked, hold full valid First Aid certificates and can provide copies of our risk assessments as and when required.
“I highly recommend Little City to schools. We have booked dates throughout the year for our Early Years and Year 1 children. It's been great for developing our children's language and social skills through play. Our children love trying their hands at being vets, mechanics and builders. It’s been a real talking point and they have loved the variety of toys and equipment on offer.
We were easily able to work with Little City to meet the safety measures detailed in our COVID- 19 risk assessment”

"The pupils loved the visit from Little City, the extensive choice of sets and the resources that went with them were much enjoyed. This is one of the ways in which the younger pupils can explore experiences of different types of jobs, so is a useful tool to support early career work.
Teachers were impressed with how their pupils interacted with the sets and the pupils clearly showed how much fun they got from this activity."

Thank you so much for your visit this week, it was exactly what we wanted and the children had so much fun and the language opportunities were fantastic. So much so…that we would love to book you in again for the Autumn term! We think it would be a lovely thing to do as we start to get to know our new classes and can join them in their play. Our first topic in Reception is ‘All About me’ so it will blend in brilliantly with that, as well as all the communication and language skills as well.

We have had Little City 3 times at our small preschool, the children always love to play, the set up is fantastic, the resources are wonderful quality and kate is so friendly and professional. The experience makes such a wonderful end of term treat which I'm sure we will continue to use for many more years.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions we were unable to provide our usual festivities for the children at Pre School. I had heard of Little City through social media and contacted Kris to see what Covid-safe provision he could provide.
Kris adapted his service to suit our needs and our policies. The children were in awe of the Little City and were totally immersed.
The equipment and resources were top quality and had such attention to detail.
Kris was professional, friendly and flexible.
Will definitely be having Little City visit again; highly recommended for an end of term treat, or for any occasion!

"Anna from Little City Norfolk was the perfect host for our Christmas party at Gresham’s Pre-Prep. The children, ages 2-7, adored their sessions and didn't want them to finish. The teachers were amazed by all the equipment and how much the children engaged in their play, even our older children.
We will definitely be welcoming Anna back again for more fun. Thank you so much for making it all run so smoothly."

Little City provided our Year R cohort a fantastic immersive role play experience. From the words of the children "Can we come again next week." All of the children thoroughly enjoyed the role play and the resources provided were excellent quality. The children enjoyed the range of different role play scenarios on offer for them to use and enjoyed experiencing a range of different roles in their local community. The children have been talking about this non-stop since our workshop and it linked perfectly with our EYFS curriculum topic! Lucy arrived promptly and set up without any issues.
Thank you again, the visit was fantastic and we will definitely be arranging for a repeat visit next year!

SEND at Little City
SEND Events
Little City was created to be a ‘roleplay adventure for all’. Offering an inclusive, interactive space for children to pretend play to their heart’s content alongside their parents and carers.
We already have the pleasure of welcoming a range of families to our events and feel so appreciative that parents feel our cities are a safe space for their little ones aged 0-5 of all abilities to explore and learn through play.
To stay true to our mission, and to give more families the confidence to attend our sessions, we would offer a choice of SEND (special, educational, needs and disability) sessions at our different locations each month. Our more regular sessions are still completely open as always to SEND families and we welcome any families who would like to attend these to keep on doing so. Please see your local City for more information and dates.
Offering SEND exclusive sessions is to recognise that these might be beneficial to many SEND families we have not yet met!
Special Needs Schools & Charities
We have had the pleasure of being invited to visit and run workshops for numerous special-needs schools and community groups across England. Working with the teams in these settings we offer tailored workshops to the needs and requirements of the children and their families; whether it's all-day hire or small group sessions we can bring the City to your school and adapt to suit your school topics and themes that term. Within these amazing schools we work with the staff to offer children of all ages an opportunity to play and discover all the toys and equipment of the City. Our bays offer 'quiet' space to fully immerse themselves in the role play and fun; our equipment is fully mobile so we can adjust and adapt the areas for those in wheelchairs or reduced mobility.
Our team members are constantly learning and upskilling to ensure that our sessions and toys spark imagination and work with the children's needs.
For us, Little City is for all, and we will do everything we can to ensure that all children have the opportunity to play and enjoy!
Examples of schools and charitable groups we have worked with:

Roman Fields, Milton Keynes
Kisharon Langdon, North London

"We have just had an amazing session of Little City today. We are a group of parents with children with additional needs and finding somewhere we can go to to have fun in a safe and secure place can be difficult. Lucy was an incredible host and was unflinching in her desire to get things right for us . The children had so much fun and were able to explore the role play at their own pace and with great success."
Paula Ross,
Family Support Manager at PARC - a charitable play and resource centre for SEND families in North Essex
We love visiting little city, as a family with a visually impaired toddler we often find playgroups can be overwhelming for our toddler. Either sessions are too loud, too crowded or they are very difficult for him to navigate alone. This certainly isn't the case at Little City.
Kim, Mummy of a visually impaired toddler
"The pupils loved the visit – the impact it had was tremendous and our younger and more severely disabled pupils were able to explore different careers in a way that was meaningful for them. We have seen some pupils continue their interest in what they were role playing"
